What Is A Community Development District

I have been asked on many occasions when I speak with clients buying a home in central Florida specifically the new developments what is a CDD and what does it stand for.  We have provided a video description and this definition. A community development district (CDD) is a local, special-purpose government framework authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and is an alternative to municipal incorporation for managing and financing infrastructure required to support development of a community. If you need more information on which homes or communities have a CDD we can help identify which ones have a CDD and what is the CDD amount on your property of interest.
